Artist Biography

Peyman Gifani

Peyman Gifani is a Cambridge based scientist, artist and photographer. One of his primary interests is focusing on recording human behaviour, which considers notions of place, culture, identity and belonging within the urban landscape. After years of learning and practicing various art techniques, he has developed a unique style by combining layers of watercolour with other media. He has exhibited his artworks in a number of galleries in London. His works were featured in the Queens’ College Art Festival in Cambridge. After completing his PhD at the University of Cambridge, he is now a senior researcher at the Department of Genetics, and a research associate fellow at Queens’ College developing methods for better personalised cancer therapies.
